Hello! Let me introduce myself, my name is Matt Simpson and I have been in the home improvement industry since 1989. (I know, I don’t look old enough!) In 2010, I established my own company and called it Matt Simpson Home Improvements (easy!!)
My main passion that drives me every day is ensuring each and everything I do is of the highest standard and that I aim to provide a perfect finish on all of my jobs. I love showing the customer the finished project and leaving them completely satisfied with the end result. In my opinion, I think that a full kitchen reconfiguration makes the best transformation to a home and I love providing that ‘wow factor’ when you walk into the room.
As with most projects, other tradesmen may be required to assist with the works. I work closely with local, independent tradesmen, such as electricians, plumbers, decorators and plasterers.
As a team, we take great pride in our work and would never, ever leave a job if we were not totally happy with the final result and more importantly, the customer was not 100% happy. So much so, I have completion forms for every job I do for the client to sign off. It is this attention to detail, quality workmanship and the fact I work closely with the client to ensure they get exactly what they want that means many of my clients will refer me to family, friends and the like, again and again.
My Business
All the tradesmen that work alongside me have the relevant qualifications and certifications. I pride myself on not only ensuring the workplace or site is as safe and tidy as possible, but our presence causes the smallest amount of disruption to the client.
I work extremely closely with a number of local suppliers to source the best quality yet good value for money materials. For any tile requirements, I have an excellent relationship with and mainly use Topps Tiles. This means that the client has a huge selection to choose from and can go and peruse the wide range before buying.
The same applies to where I mainly source my kitchen materials. My main supplier is Howdens Kitchen & Joinery who although are not retailers to the general public, will work alongside myself and the client. They will send out a trained designer to measure the space with a free home survey and discuss your requirements and product offering. Once the plans are drafted, they will then be supplied to you as a selection of high quality images, 3D images, a walkthrough video and a 360° panoramic view. One of the reasons I look to use Howdens is because they manufacture their products in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner.
The company I primarily use to supply my engineered and solid wood floors is Prime Flooring, they are committed to excellence and customer satisfaction, which is primarily why I use them!
